Square Enix wasn’t kidding when saying Final Fantasy XIV‘s open beta would begin in ‘early September’; the public testing of the MMO has been scheduled to kick off in Europe early next Wednesday, September 1st (2:00 GMT), which is a bit earlier for those in the US: 19:00 PDT on Tuesday, August 31st.
