The genre-defining Halo: Combat Evolved is having a birthday, and it wouldn’t be a proper one if someone, somewhere hadn’t had the idea of “re-imagining” the classic title that sparked one of the biggest franchises in videogame history. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, aptly named, was born.
Apart from the usual updates expected to be done to a game this old, like HD visuals, online co-op, Kinect support, new challenges and story, developer 343 Industries is going the whole nine yards and will be re-recording the iconic soundtrack created by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori with the help of Pyramid Studios, Skywalker Symphony Orchestra and Chanticleer vocal ensemble.
