Homefront sells 375,000 on day one in North America

THQ’s Homefront, the war-at-home shooter, released yesterday in North America. Today, publisher THQ said over the course of those 24 hours the game sold 375,000 copies.

“We are delighted with first day sales for Homefront and are already fulfilling re-orders for the game from multiple retailers,” said Brian Farrell, THQ President and CEO.

It’s all well and good for THQ to be “delighted” with the game’s sales, but THQ stock has tumbled a whopping 21%, so that must be of at least some concern to the California company.

Homefront is due out in Europe and Asia later this week.
