Herbalism is one of the gathering professions in WoW. It gives you the ability to gather herbs. Herbs can be used to make potions with the alchemist profession, you can use the herbs for the Inscription profession or you can simply sell them for a good amount of money. Whatever you want to do with your Herbs you need your profession level as high as possible to gather the high lvl herbs. And this article will show you how to do that.
The first thing you have to do when you plan to level Herbalism or if you just want to gather something is to install the addon "the gatherer". It shows you the location of all the Herbs you already found. Its is really handy and a must have for every herb gatherer.
All Characters can learn Herbalism but in my opinion the best classes for this are Druids. Because of their cat and flying forms. It allows them to gather much faster than all the other races.
Another good class are rouges because of their stealth ability. So you don't need to fight as many mobs as other classes.
Now its time for the good leveling places for Herbalism.
For lvl 1 -75
Usually the starting area for each race has enough herbs to level to 75.
Look at your map and try run in cycles. Thanks to the gatherer addon you can easily make yourself a perfect gathering route.
For lvl 75 - 150
Horde can gather herbs extremely well in the barrens. Start North and work your way up to the south as your level increases.
Alliance can should go to Westfall and run around in a big circle along the coast and the southern mountains. Then go north at Sentinel Hill until you reach the northern coast and cycle again.
For lvl 150 - 170
From now on both sides should go to the same areas. So go to the northern west part of the Wetlands and run your cycles there.
For lvl 170 - 225
Now we come to a really good place for leveling herbalism. Arathi Highlands. Just run your cycles here around the outer edges of the Highlands until you are lvl 225.
For lvl 225 - 275
The next sections is Feralas. Cycle through the left part. When you reach lvl 230 you can start collecting Sungrass here in this area.
For lvl 275- 300
For the next levels head to the Plaguelands. As always cycle through the outer borders. Once you are 285 you can collect Plaguebloom. So run another cycle to collect it. Keep this up and you should hit 300 pretty soon.
