Modern Warfare 2 Dual Wielding

If you’ve been gaming for a fairly long time, and by long time we mean that you’ve played a number of different first person games, then you’ll know the joys of playing with dual side arms. Games like Goldeneye and Counter Strike are famous for having this ability, and they’re one of the most enjoyable ways to use a weapon, ever. Counter Strike fans will know that the Dual Elites are notoriously inaccurate, and never really do a particularly good job of killing your opponent. However, they are unbelievably cool to play with, (the reload action alone makes it worthwhile), so they remain popular. Even though much older, Goldeneye had a more advanced take on dual weapons, since you could use automatic weapons instead of just pistols. This made for a pretty incredible and deadly combination. The latest instalment of the Call of Duty series has made waves over the last few weeks for reportedly offering this exact ability, possible as a perk to a character.

This is a pretty mouth-watering prospect given the depth of weaponry and incredible graphics that Modern Warfare 2 are reportedly about to unleash onto our screens. So far, very little is known about the dual wielding capabilities of Modern Warfare 2, but it definitely looks possible given that it was seen in a gameplay demo shown at GameCrazy convention. So far, we’ve seen dual Desert Eagles being used, so it remains to be seen what other weapons will also have this capability.

This has added yet another element of excitement to the release of Modern Warfare 2, which looks set to be one of the biggest games of the year, if not the decade.
