Namco Bandai sues CD Projekt Red over The Witcher 2 360 version

Namco Bandai has filed a lawsuit against Polish The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red over its deal with THQ to publish the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2. The Japanese company is the publisher of the PC version.

Apparently, according to the lawsuit, Namco feels CD Projekt Red is in breach of their agreement by choosing THQ to publish the 360 version, and that the developer has removed the DRM protection without Namco’s consent.

Namco has withheld payments from the game’s retail sales from CD Projekt Red, and intends to continue to do so until the matter is settled.
