2011 is shaping up to be a strong year for the PlayStation 3, with a number of new entries from long-running and venerated franchises slated for release. Among that pack is SOCOM 4, which has been given an official release date of April 2011; a sign of relief for fans who’ve been awaiting the game’s release ever since its delay was announced last year. Not only is it a flagship title for Sony’s console, but it also utilizes Sony’s new motion-based Move peripheral. Quite naturally, much will be riding on the game’s sales performance this spring.
