Survivor: The Medallion Of Power Has A Flaw - by Patrick Moran

In the premiere of Survivor: Nicaragua, there was no time wasted in showing off this season's big new twist in medallion form.  The farcically named "Medallion of Power" bestows a leg up in a challenge for the tribe that chooses to put the medallion in play.  However, most leg ups in Survivor always come at a cost.

Putting the MOP into play does gives the medallion to the other tribe to use in future challenges.  Advantages vary by challenge but the benefit to using it appears to be medium to high based on the two challenges in last night's episode.  Using the MOP or choosing to not play it invariably leads to second guessing if the tribe in control of the MOP loses the challenge.
